The warranty covers all defects in manufacturing and materials produced by Drainvac International 2006 Inc. It excludes damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, or any modifications to the product. Drainvac cannot be held responsible for any direct, indirect or special damage resulting from use of the product.

Keep all receipts / proof of purchase for your unit. The date on these documents is used to establish the warranty period. If a request for warranty service is made, you must present these proof of purchase documents. If proof of purchase cannot be produced, the warranty period will be determined by the product’s manufacture date.

The warranty does not apply if the standard maintenance procedures recommended by Drainvac have not been followed or if a repair has been made by an unauthorized Drainvac retailer. Furthermore, the warranty is void: if damage is caused by misuse or inappropriate use of the appliance (refer to the recommendations in the user manual); if damage is caused by vacuuming plaster dust or other similar fine dust; if the unit is damaged by fire after vacuuming ashes or cigarette butts; following a change of owner or location of the original installation; if damage is caused by a flood, by any other natural disaster or electrical overload.

* Conditions common to all types of use (residential, commercial and industrial):

  • The motor warranty is valid only if the carbon motor brushes wear out in an abnormal or uneven manner (one brush is completely worn while the other is almost new). If the two carbon brushes are both completely worn, this is considered normal wear and tear and the motor is therefore not eligible for repair or replacement under warranty.
  • The use of dust bags, bag filter, foam filter and cartridge filter is required for devices that work with bags and/or filters.
    Improper installation of these could allow dust to infiltrate the motor(s) and void the warranty. In addition, the wear of the filters is considered normal and is not covered by the warranty.
  • The warranty does not cover piping, fittings, plugs or improper installation.
  • Shipping and travel are at the customer’s expense.
  • Proper maintenance of the device is suggested during the warranty period and proper maintenance of filters is also suggested as needed.

Metal MP Inc. warrants to the original consumer purchaser that its central vacuum power unit will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years for 550VF1, BQ550, PP5501, NC1500, NCKIT1500 and MP.AIR550 units, eight (8) years for 650VF1, BQ650, PP6501, NC3500, NC4500, NCKIT3500 and MP.AIR650 units and ten (10) years for 700VF1, BQ700, PP7001, NC5500, NCKIT5500 and MP.AIR700 units. This warranty covers the parts and labor in an authorized service center for the first three (3) years of the warranty for 550VF1, BQ550, PP5501, NC1500, NCKIT1500 and MP.AIR550 units, the first five (5) years of the warranty for 650VF1, BQ650, PP6501, NC3500, NC4500, NCKIT3500 and MP.AIR650 units, the first six (6) years of the warranty for 700VF1, BQ700, PP7001, NC5500, NCKIT5500 and MP.AIR700 units. After these time periods, the parts only will be covered under this warranty. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During these time periods, Metal MP Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace the power unit or part without charge, which is found to be defective under normal use and service. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO THE INSTALLATION OR THE PARTS USED IN THE INSTALLED TUBING SYSTEM. All central vacuum hoses, electric or air-driven brushes, filters, attachments and accessories are warranted for one (1) year from the original purchase date with the exception to consumables such as light bulbs and belts. We invite you to register your product online at www.drainvac.com. Metal MP Inc. reserves the right to limit this warranty if the product is not registered.

This warranty does not cover normal maintenance and service or any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Metal MP Inc. or an authorized representative), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of any implied warranty is limited to the period as specified for the express warranty.

METAL MP INC.’S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT METAL MP INC.’S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. METAL MP INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH PRODUCT USE OR PERFORMANCE. Please do not return your unit to place of purchase. Please visit www.drainvac.com for your closest service center. You may also call 1-800-408-1448 for the name of an authorized representative in your area. This warranty supersedes all prior warranties.

Warranty service is to be completed by an authorized Service Center designated by Metal MP Inc. Where applicable, in home service will be made available only in areas where a contracted service provider offers service during the first three (3) years of the warranty for 550VF1, BQ550, PP5501, NC1500, NCKIT1500 and MP.AIR550 units, during the first five (5) years of the warranty for 650VF1, BQ650, PP6501, NC3500, NC4500, NCKIT3500 and MP.AIR650 units and during the first six (6) years of the warranty for 700VF1, BQ700, PP7001, NC5500, NCKIT5500 and MP.AIR700 units. If in home service is not available, the product will be repaired or replaced, at Metal MP Inc.’s discretion, by the nearest authorized service provider. The unit removal and reinstallation works are under the customer responsibility, and Metal MP Inc. cannot be charged for them.

To qualify for warranty service, you must notify Metal MP Inc. at contact@drainvac.com or at 1-800-408-1448. We will then forward you the authorized service center in your area. You will be required to present evidence of the original purchase date.
